A fellow YouTube crafter, Sloane, and I decided to do a one-on-one stick pin swap as we both had a bunch of beads that we had left from group swaps and had not used. So we challenged ourselves to do a swap to make us use some of those beads!
Here are the ones I made for her. I wanted to do a little something extra for her so I made a stick pin holder from a $2 birdcage from Michaels and I added a few goodies for her.
Sloane used hat pins for some of the ones she made for me. I loved them. They are really long. She used a lot of filigree beads and caps which is something I have not used in making stick pins. So it was perfect for me since I didn’t have any like this!

Very spiffy pins. I like the way you added them to the birdcage filled with treasure. It is so thoughtful and creative. The pins you received in return are so different. What a brilliant swap.
These are sooooo pretty! Question – where do you find the clutches to go on the ends. I have lots of pins and would like to sell or give away but don’t like the open ends. Thanks!
The pins with the clutches were ones Sloane made for me so I am not sure where she got the clutches. For the long hat pins she used, they may have come with them. My guess would be from eBay, but I will ask her and let you know. Thanks for stopping by!
I asked Sloane and she got the clutches from Michael’s in the bead/jewelry section.
