I’m back with another design team project for The Cutting Cafe! This week we had several files to choose from. But because I am in the midwest and we just have been bombarded with snowfall after snowfall (not to mention up to 50 degree below zero wind chills), I decided to use the Snow Word Shaped Card for my project.
I have an aunt whose birthday is this week so I am sending her “snow many wishes for a happy birthday”! I wanted the card to be shiny and sparkling and achieved this by using Recollections Mercury Glass paper from this year’s Christmas line at Michaels for the base, Cloud Nine pearlescent shimmer paper for the topper word, and DCWV glitter paper for the final topper pieces which look like they are dripping at the bottom. I added some glitter snowflakes I punched out with a Fiskars punch and used a holographic type red dot in the centers. I also added a silver and gold glittered present shaped sticker. Here are more views…
I loved the way it turned out! Snow, snow, snow…
OK…really I am saying no more snow! Enough is enough! But I digress. The other files that we could use this week were the Rainbow Shaped Card Set, the Rain Boots Shaped Card Template, and the Fun With Snowflake Template File. So with so many files to choose from, the weekly post of design team projects on The Cutting Cafe’s Blog is going to be awesome! There is sure to be a lot of variety. So head on over there and check it out. AND, while you are there, leave a comment! Number one, we love reading them, and number 2 you will be entered into a drawing for next week to win three free files of your choice. Don’t miss out on your chance every week!
Well, time to say goodbye for now but watch for upcoming Valentine’s Day projects! Before you go, here is this week’s video. Thanks for stopping by!
