Hello! It has been a while since I have posted as life has been busy the last month! But I am back with a new design team project for The Cutting Cafe. This post we could use any files that dealt with school as we are in the back to school season. There are a multitude of files in the store to choose from. I used three different printable stamp sets to adorn this cute mini folio to give to my little god brother/son. He started 2nd grade and got to be the teacher’s helper last week. This is just a little something to congratulate him.
The first two files I used were the School Borders Printable Stamp Set which I made the pencil belly band with, and the School Days Printable Stamp Set which I used for the Circle on the belly band. Here is a picture of the back where you can see the pencil border a bit better…
After opening the mini folio, you will see the other file I used…
The left stamp, star student, is from the same set as the belly band circle…
The right stamp is from the Back to School Scrapbook Layout Template File…
I used We R Memory Keepers Hall Pass Paper and a Creating Keepsake font, Rubber Pencil to do his name at the top when you open it. I plan to put a folded dollar bill on each side where the two stamps are as those are also pocket slots. The folio is actually made from a #10 envelope. I got the idea from a video by Aweezielchk on YouTube. You can see her tutorial here.
Make sure you head over to The Cutting Cafe Blog to check out all the design team posts. Leave a comment and you will be eligible to win three files of your choice on the next post which is September 21. Thanks so much for stopping by and before you go, here is my video on the project…
