Pinwheel Card - The Cutting Cafe and Embossy Punch Collab with Poetspice

Pinwheel Flower Scene Card

Hello All!  It is time for another design team project for The Cutting Cafe, but I am also starting my first collaboration with Poetspice on YouTube.  So, this project is also my first for the Embossy Punch Collab with Poetspice, which we are to make projects using our embossing folders and punches!  I am excited to be a part of it.  There are several ladies in the collab and I will give you their YouTube Channels below.

For The Cutting Cafe Files, I used the Pinwheel Sentiment Set and then I added the grass using the Garden Stand Ups file.    I then used multiple punches and a couple embossing folders to complete the card.  I love the way it turned out!  For now, I have not added a sentiment as I am not sure what it will be used for.  But it can be for Mother’s Day, Friendship, Birthday, or even just because.

Be sure to stop by The Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of each month.  Leave a comment and you will be eligible to win three free files of your choice.

Below is my video for this project and below that is the list of the other ladies in the Embossy Punch Collab and links to their YouTube Channels.  Thanks for stopping by!

Man Card Mondays Episode #3 – Aluminum Foil

20 Feb

Welcome to the third installment of my YouTube series Man Card Mondays!  Today I am focusing on adding a touch of metallic on cards with foil.  But, I am not using foiled cardstock.  I went to my kitchen and got out some good ‘ole aluminum foil!

The silver front is embossed aluminum foil.

If you are not a huge user of foil, then you just might not want to buy  a whole pad of paper, or spend $2 on one sheet.  Well, aluminum foil can help you out.  It can be embossed, die cut, punched, alcohol inked, and as I found out, can be cut in an electronic cutting machine.

Here is the first panel. I embossed the red cardstock with a metal plate pattern.

The card fully opened with a pocket for a gift card.

I also made a second card.  I don’t have a sentiment on it as I don’t know what I am going to use it for yet.  But I cut the tools out with my Silhouette Cameo.  They came out great!

The tools are cut from aluminum foil.

I give a few tips and show how you can color the aluminum foil in my video below.  Thanks for stopping by!
