Calendar Box with Tag Calendars – The Cutting Cafe Design Team Project

Calendar Box with Tag Calendar

It is that time to start getting calendars for next year. The Cutting Cafe has a 2020 Calendar Set that is full of calendar options…square, round, journal spots, full sheet, and even tags to hold the round ones as I have used.  Plus there is a new Calendar Holder with Front Box file which I also used.

The box also has a pull out drawer that you can use to hold paper clips, push pins, loose change, mints, whatever you want to store.

Calendar Box Drawer

There is a little drawer that pulls out.

I made a calendar tag for each month and will just change them out.  I used a pearl brad but it can be fun to change the brad for different occasions.  Also I stored the tags in the holder on the front of it, but that could also be used for a post it note pad if you’d like.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit the blog to see all the versions the design team came up with.

I would also like to say that this will be my last design team post for The Cutting Cafe as the design team is being disbanded for now to allow Regina to focus on some other things.  There will still be new files coming out as usual.  There just won’t be design team posts for now.  I appreciate the six years that I have been on the team and will still be doing projects featuring the fabulous files from The Cutting Cafe.  Please continue to visit often to see what is new!

Most of what I post on this site have been design team projects.  I do many other things and will start posting more of my other projects and swaps here. So keep visiting me too!

As always, before you go, here is my video…

With Much Appreciation Card – The Cutting Cafe Design Team Project

With Much Appreciation Card

With Much Appreciation Sentiment Card

For this The Cutting Cafe design team project we could use any fall or Halloween project.  I chose to highlight that The Cutting Cafe not only has cutting files but also sentiment files or printable stamps.  I used the So Thankful Circle Word file to make this cute thank you/anniversary file.

The circle word that I used says with much appreciation in a circle.  I cut it out an layered it, then put it on foam tape.  I added thank you to the bottom.  On the inside I will either write a message or use a happy anniversary stamp.

Shut the Front Door Card

Front Door Card

We used the cute Front Door Shaped Card for our The Cutting Cafe design team projects this week.  We could do fall or Halloween themes.  I chose to make a birthday card and add the sentiment ‘shut the front door’.

The card is 8 3/4′ tall and fits into a business sized envelope but you can adjust the size.  It comes with many variations including different door panels, layering options, door frame, knob options, window options, plants, wreaths, and sentiments.

Fashion Teapot Folder

                    Fashion Teapot Folder

This week at The Cutting Cafe we got to use any file we chose.  I used the Teapot Shaped Card file.  There are two different teapot designs in the file.  I chose to do something different and made a folder with a pocket instead of a card.  I used the card top and layers and added a hinge on the side.

Then I made a pocket for the inside that you can add a little gift, like tea bags, or a craft item like bling.

DIY Checkbook – The Cutting Cafe Design Team Project

23 Aug

Fabric Check Book Cover View 2

Hello!  We are a couple days late with our design team post because Regina, the owner, got whisked away for her birthday!  Happy birthday again Regina!

For our design team project for The Cutting Cafe this time, we were to make the Checkbook Cover & Registry file using fabric.  I used a leftover piece of printed fabric I have had for years.

I hand cut the PDF of the file out of cardstock and fabric, but if you have an electronic cutter that cuts fabric, you can also use the version of the file to cut it that way.  I then just glued the fabric piece onto the cardstock and it was finished.  I just added a silhouette of a lady and the word blessed and a few rhinestones,

It turned out great!  The file also contains the checkbook registry so now you can make your own!  Be sure to check out the design team post on The Cutting Cafe Blog to see what other team members created.  Leave a comment and you will be entered into a drawing to win three free files.

Food Planner

Hello!  I am back with a design team project for The Cutting Cafe!  This post we could choose from any files we wanted to use.  Usually I do fun and cute projects but sometimes you just need practical or necessary.

This food and water planner is for my dad to help him with eating due to health issues we are working to reverse.  It is not pretty, but it is practical.  I used the 2018 Planner Set, the Food Journal Planner Set, and the Water Tracker Planner Add On.  Here are a few more views…
