I am in a Secret Sister Swap that is hosted by Staplem1/Markisha on YouTube. We are to send three packages, each building upon each other with the third package being the big reveal of who you are. We know who we are sending to but do not know who is sending to us. I received my second package from my Secret Sister today. It contain a beautifully decorated box in my favorite color combination…Black and gold!’
Inside there was a matching card…
And the box was filled with goodies! In my profile I mentioned that I liked bling. The box had plenty of bling and some flowers and trim thrown in for good measure…
Thank you secret sister! I love it all and can’t wait to find out who you are! Thanks for stopping by! Here is a video of me opening my box….
I am thrilled to be participating in a Secret Sister Swap on YouTube hosted by Staplem1 who is Markisha. The objective of this swap is to have fun but to hopefully make some new crafty friends. We are sending out three packages to our swap sister. Of course we know who we are sending to but we do not know who is sending to us.
On the last package, which will be a finale package, we are to reveal who we are. I am happy to say that the secret sister I am sending to did a video and liked what I sent her. I will put the video I made up once she receives my final package.
I got my package today and am absolutely thrilled with what my secret sister sent me. She sent a daily devotional entitled “Jesus Calling” Enjoying Peace in His Presence by Susan Young. And as you can see by the photo, she sent a deluxe version with beautifully detailed cover and my name stamped in gold. Then she also sent a wonderful note and a gift card to Hobby Lobby. My sister was more than generous! Thank you secret sister. I truly appreciate your kindness and look forward to finding out who you are!
Here is a short video of me opening my gift. Thanks for watching!
My friend Tmika, Scrapdaworld on YouTube, held another awesome swap and I loved being a part of it! She hosted a shaped gift tag swap a couple of months ago (check out my tag post) and this was a variation on it. I decided to do a fireplace for my tag and I actually love it. At first I struggled with it as I had used wood grain paper for the mantle and bottom. It was just too brown and had no pop whatsoever. So I dug into my Christmas paper stash and found this paper. The pattern scale was great as I needed a 12 x 12 sheet of paper to cut out all I needed and most of the patterns were too large.
Back of Tag
The tags had to be shaped and had to have at least two embellishments, a to/from on it, and had to have some way to hang it. I used a lot of metallic, glitter, and foil elements.
Mantel detail
I love the mantel as I draped tinsel ribbon wrapped with miniature lights and hung glitter stockings. It is so cute, just like a real Christmas Mantel. I started to put candles and statues on top if it but I thought they would not be as durable since they would just be little pieces with no backing for stability.
I used a resin log for the firelog
I found resin logs from Michael’s fall Recollections embellishment line. They were longer, I just sawed them down to size. I also used some of my glitter to actually put glitter on the fire. The bricks are a texture paste. I was going to use brick printed paper and when I told Tmika what I was doing she suggested using a texture paste. I am glad she mentioned that as I had not thought of it and really like it on my tag.
Fireplace shaped box for packaging
The Silhouette Online Store just added a fireplace box gift card holder and I thought it would be perfect packaging. I resized it and used Tim Holtz’s frosted film over a layer of clear film that actually was the wrapper from the Silhouette mat I had just opened. There was a little bubbling of the film but not a lot.
All six of my tags
There are five other members of my group and I also made one for Tmika. Three have red garland and three have green garland.
I had fun with this swap after I got through the paper issue. I really loved the way they turned out and I hope that my group members will also. Thanks for stopping by. Before you go, take a look at my YouTube video…
You may have noticed that I have not posted as much lately but I am going to try to post more frequently. But make sure you check out my YouTube Channel as I do upload more videos.
Anyway, last month I participated in the Pocket Full of Embellishment Swap which was hosted by Betty who is Scrappassion01 on YT. The original idea came from Tammy, SSCrafter1 on YT, who created this for a design team project. My partner was Veronica, vlballen1 on YT. I wanted to share a bit of me with her so I used my favorite black and gold colors. Here are several photos of what I made. Then I will share what I received from Veronica, and my videos.

High Heel Shaped Tag with The Cutting Cafe Packaging
This week for The Cutting Cafe, our theme was packaging. This was perfect timing as I was also in a swap hosted by Scrapdaworld (details coming further in the post). I used the Homemade Just for You Set for the label wrap, which actually is a cut file that is included. Then I used two sentiments from the Test Tube Candy Holder Set.

Make sure to visit The Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th to see all the other design team projects focused on packaging! Leave a comment and you may win three free files in the drawing on the 21st of the month post!
Now, for the swap, we had to make shaped tags, use three embellishments, have to and from on it, and only use general sentiments. There were six in my group so we had to make five, but I made six so Tmika (Scrapdaworld) would have one. Below are a few more pictures and my video. Make sure you check out Scrapdaworld’s You Tube channel. She will be putting up videos of all the swaps.
I participated in a fun swap hosted by my friend Tmika, who is Scrapdaworld on YouTube. The swap was all about using some of the things that everybody just had to have, like the Prima Doll Stamps, dominos, or bottle caps. I know I just had to have the doll stamps and I had not used one of them. They are so cute so I am not sure why I had not used them in some way!
The requirements were that you make a tag with a doll stamp and also make a coordinating charm with either a domino or bottlecap. Since I had participated in a bottle cap charm swap last year, I chose to go with the domino. I did have to go and search for dominos to use as I had not gotten on the had to have thing with those! Here is the back of the tags with the charms…

I decided that I would make each tag different instead of them being all the same. It was a very fun process and I loved the way they turned out! Now I am going to put you on photo overload with individual shots and my video! Thanks for stopping by!
I am participating in a swap on YouTube that is hosted by Markisha who is Staplem1 on YouTube. There were two group choices. We could choose to do Parisian or Shabby Chic. It had to be an A2 sized card with at least three embellishments, a sentiment, and had to be finished both inside and outside.
Love Note Valentine Card Swap Entry
The paper I used is a line called Sincerely from Trinity Paper Arts. Below are a couple other views and my YouTube video in which I show some other papers in the collection and give more information on the products used. Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment and follow my posts by signing up on the right side of the page!
