My friend Tmika who is Scrapdaworld on YouTube always hosts fun swaps. This time it was a Christmas/Winter shaped tag swap. I had a different tag in mind but I had technical difficulties with it lol. My Cricut Expression was just not cooperating!
So, I came up with this tag and I like it. I glittered the tag in stages and it worked well. I really like the white and gold.
I made a box envelope to package them…

My friend Tmika host great swaps all the time on YouTube. The latest one has us using techniques and embellishments. The 3 x 3 cards had to have a combination of four or more things going on. I used five techniques…dry embossing, distressing, texture paste stippling, glittering the texture paste, and splattering/ misting, and four embellishments…flowers, punches, twine, and a dazzle sticker.

As always, packaging is a big part of a swap. Here is how I packaged mine…

I did a one-on-one mini album swap with Sandi who is Decor8yourlife on YouTube. She likes both vintage and shabby styles so I sort of combined the two. Here is a series of pictures…

I made my first Flip Book! I participated in a one-on-one swap with Kamisha who is VisionsofParis115 on YouTube through the Facebook Group Crafters with Artitute! I had just learned about flip books when the swap went up so I thought what better way to jump in. In a way, the flip book is the new pocket letter.
I decided that I wanted my book to be more than a pen pal letter so I went more of a photo book route with it and I hope Kamisha is ok with the direction I chose. Here are some pictures…

My friend Tmika who is Scrapdaworld on YouTube hosted another great swap featuring gift tags. I made a shaker window scene for my tag, including curtains, snow, and a deer.
Window Scene Tag
Back of tag
Basically we had to make a shaped tag using at least two embellishments and it had to have to and from on the back. I placed my tags on a matted card.
The deer is more visible in this picture.
Then, I bagged it in a clear bag and added a candy cane striped clothes pin with a snowflake added to it. In the back a bag of goodies is attached.
This is how the tags were packaged.
I really like how my tags came out and I hope the ladies in my swap group like them too. Thanks for stopping by. Here’s my video giving more details…
It is time for another design team post for The Cutting Cafe! Make sure you stop by to visit the blog on the 7th and 21st of each month. You will find plenty of inspiration from our team and if you leave a comment, you will be eligible to win three files of your choice in a random drawing on the next design team post!
The focus of the projects for this post is the With Gratitude Printable Stamp Set. This file has over 70 images including many sentiments in square, round, and rectangle shapes, background images, and borders. Some come in color as well as black and white and some come in a couple different sizes.
I entered a swap hosted by my friend Tmika who is Scrapdaworld on YouTube. It was the sweet treat postcard and dangle swap and we had to make a 4 x 6 postcard with a sweet treat theme and a coordinating dangle. Here is what I came up with.
The charm is something I have never done. The scalloped diamond and the cake charms are made from patterned paper cut out on, my Silhouette Cameo. I cut each twice and then cut acetate pieces to cover it an make it sturdy.

My friend Tmika alway hosts fun swaps and this one, although challenging, was fun. For this swap, all the embellishments had to be two inches of less. That is kind of hard to do. A couple of mind ended up just a little over two inches.

Every swap needs great packaging. I found these pencil boxes on clearance for ten cents about five months ago. When I bought them I had no use in mind. They worked out perfectly for this swap!

February Friendship Swap Items – Round Boxes, Dress Form Screen Card, Round 3 x 3 note cards, box envelopes, and bag of goodies.
Some of my friends Tmika, Sheryl, Shanta, and I decided to do a monthly swap. This will help one keep in the crafting world as she has very little time, and it will help the rest of us use some of our products and maybe even try something different. Each month one of us gets to choose what the swap will be. The idea is to keep it small so that it won’t cost a lot to mail.
February was Tmika’s month to choose. We were to make a card that the others can use, five 3 x 3 cards and envelopes, and include goodies worth $2. The style was to be shabby chic. So I made round cards, something I have not done before.
Set of 3 x 3 Cards
Each card has a different little sentiment on it…thanks, thank you, sorry, hugs, and love you. Here is a close up view of one…

Once I receive my swaps from the ladies, I will share those. In the meantime, here is a video to give you more details on what I made. Thanks for stopping by and feel free to subscribe to my YouTube Channel if you have not already done so.
I participate in a swap hosted by Live Love Scrap who is Bona on YouTube. We were to make favor box/bag kits that featured lace, embellishments, and a sentiment. We made one to show what it looks like, then packaged all the materials in a kit for our swap partners to put together themselves.
I found this cute carriage file at the Silhouette Online Store and knew that is what I wanted to make.
I added lace and pearl trims to the top, and used bling flowers for three of the wheels. On the 4th wheel, I used a stamp that I embossed and fussy cut. The silver heart is dangling slightly inside the cut out heart.

I added little bows on the sides under the heart cutouts…
On the top I added a rose and some iridescent pink pearls along with a silver thanks sentiment…
Of course for a swap, you need great packaging. I used another Silhouette file to make these cute bags with a princess crown belly band…
