Hello! Last weekend my friend Tmika…Scrapdaworld on YouTube…came to visit. It was a great weekend of shopping, crafting, and just hanging out! Here we are before we hit the stores…
Of course Tmika came bearing gifts. She made some awesome handmade embellishments and brought me animal print papers to craft with since I love animal prints! But she also made and brought me what became our theme of the weekend…a shabby chic box and it is lovely…
Then we attended a Prima Class taught by Frank Garcia. Here is the shabby chic box and tag mini album we created in class…
And lastly, I made a little shabby chic box to give to Tmika with some crafting goodies…
We had such a great weekend! Thanks Tmika and I can’t wait to do it again! Be sure to check her channel out on YouTube if you have not done so before. She is an awesome crafter!
This week for The Cutting Cafe, the theme was boxes! We had a choice of three files to work with, the Card Organizer Box, the Copic Box, and the Dresser Box which I used. This file was so fun. I decided to try giving it a masculine feel but I am going to make another one and really girlie it up! Here are a couple more views…

I used a specialty paper (really it is plastic) from Michaels to cover the box and drawers. The knobs are from balsa boxes from Michaels. I actually made the little lamp from a file from SVG Files. I just shrunk it down to 30% of the original size and that worked perfectly! The mirror is Tim Holtz’s mirror paper. It works like a charm.
Visit The Cutting Cafe Blog to see the rest of the projects from the design team this week. Leave a comment and be eligible to win three files of your choice in next week’s drawing. The video is below…
Today was the beginning of the Scrappin’ Queens of 2013 YouTube Hop and I must say I am so honored to have been asked to be a part of this amazing hop! I was a part with 10 other amazingly talented ladies. The hop will be open all week but the prize qualifications close Friday and winners will be chosen on Saturday. I made a box for a friend so watch the video below and then see more detailed pictures below the video. If you wish to participate in the hop, I will put the links to the ladies pages below that. Start at the beginning and follow the directions in order to be eligible for some great prizes. Thanks for stopping by!
