Classic Car Shaped Father’s Day Card – The Cutting Cafe Design Team Project

Classic Car Shaped Card

It is Wednesday and time for another Cutting Cafe design team project. This week’s theme…Father’s Day of course. We had wonderful files to work with this week. I chose to use the new Classic Car Shaped Card and it was so much fun to do! I absolutely love the shaped of the card, and all the trim that comes in the file. I chose to use silver metallic paper for all of the chrome and I added white-walled tires! The possibilities are endless with this file because there are so many pieces.

The other files we could use were the Shirt and Tie Cutting File Template Shaped Card, and the Cruisin’ by to Say Hi Car Set Printable Stamps.

Items for Hubby’s Board of Directors Celebration and Other Projects

This past week I worked on several projects. So let’s start with the biggest project first.

Items For Husband’s Board Celebration

Hubby asked me to make a card for a Board member who won the national volunteer of the year award for the organization he works for. The card evolved into a card, place cards with the Chicago skyline, a mailbox with the skyline and note cards for the other Board members to write notes of thanks to the award recipient, and a certificate. Everything turned out nicely and his Board loved them, but more importantly, he loved them! Here are some individual pictures…

And, lastly, I have a couple of additions to the baby shower items I made. I created a money holder, which I used as a holder for a certificate for a custom mini album I will make for the baby, and a gift card holder. Both are from the Word Gift Card and Money Holders Template Cutting File from The Cutting Cafe. I loved the way they turned out!

Latte Cup Shaped Birthday Card – The Cutting Cafe Design Team Project

Latte Shaped Cup Birthday Card

This week for The Cutting Cafe design team, the theme was coffee. We had three files we could choose from and I used two of the three. First I used a newer file, The Coffee Cup Shaped Card 2, then I added a sentiment from the Got Coffee Printable Stamp Set. I used paper from the DCWV Natural stack and added glitter to the stripe on the lid. I needed a birthday card and this one was perfect.

On the inside is a surprise. It holds a gift card!

Masculine Card Challenge on YouTube

Masculine Birthday Card

Crafticakes7 on YouTube had a challenge giveaway for reaching 300 subscribers. She wanted to see what kind of masculine cards for any occasion that people come up with as it tends to be harder to do cards for males as you can’t use flowers, glitter, ribbons, bling, etc. So someone I work with has a birthday coming up, so I made this card for him and entered in into the challenge. Zebra Baby Shower Card

My friend’s baby shower was yesterday and my mom needed a card. The shower colors were pink, black, and white, with zebra print. A couple weeks ago I posted my onesie card, which I used for a design team project, that I made for the shower. So this one had to be just as cute. I think it turned out great. Valentine Birthday Flip Card

Valentine Birthday Flip Card

It is Inspiration Wednesday and time for a new project for The Cutting Cafe! This week we could choose from any valentine file in the cafe to use. I chose to use two files to create this card: The Square Flip Card Template and the This Cake is all Heart Printable Stamp Set. My aunt’s birthday is on Valentine’s Day so this card is for her. The cake image is made of heart shapes and the inside sentiment, which comes with the printable stamp set, mentions both birthday and Valentine’s Day! That was just perfect! Sunshine Birthday Card – The Cutting Cafe Design Team Project

Even though it is February and there is snow in my area, Spring is in the air at The Cutting Cafe! This week the design team was given a choice of Spring files to work with. Be sure to visit the Cafe Blog Wednesday afternoon to see all the wonderful design team projects.

Since I had not done a word shaped card before, I took the opportunity to try out the Sunshine Shaped Card Template file. It was easier than I thought.

I hand cut the word as well as the card background (easy to do without an electronic cutting machine). I used grey card stock for the the actual card and layered the word in paper from DCWV’s Lemon Flower stack. I used a chipboard sun and printed the sentiment out on my computer and punched it out with a circle punch. Then, I just added flowers, a ribbon bow, and flat back pearls and there you have it a lovely card. Thanks for stopping by and feel free to sign up to follow by email to the right of the screen!
