This week for The Cutting Cafe design team, we worked with the Big Expression files which have both printable stamps and cutting elements to them.
There are four different ones and I used three of them using various techniques…

Thank you for stopping by. Here is a video showing my cards in greater detail…
Bendi cards feature bands that bend or arc out from the base of a card. The ways that people decorate them are endless. You will see quite a variety of designs this week from the Design Team members of The Cutting Cafe as we used the Bendi – Bendy Card Template and Cutting File for our projects.
I stayed relatively simple for my birthday card. I just added flowers, a gold glittered branch piece, and an Anna Griffin layered sticker. I also added some acrylic bling dots and a crown which goes well with the queen for a day sentiment on the sticker.
Looking down on the card, you can see what the curved bands/flaps look like. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the card with the bands opened up. They essentially are flaps that tuck into slots on each side of the card, causing the bending of the flaps.
A look from the top shows the curved bands.

I used the back to house my sentiment, but you could also put it on the inside.
A journaling card is used in back for the sentiment.

It is all about girls this week at The Cutting Cafe! We used the All About Girls Printable Stamp Set this week and it is a lot of fun! There are tons of great sentiments and there are also images of clothes and girly things! I made this card for an 8-year-old who loves bling and glitter. So there is a lot of it on this card! I like the way it turned out though. Here are a few more photos…

This past week I worked on several projects. So let’s start with the biggest project first.
Items For Husband’s Board Celebration
Hubby asked me to make a card for a Board member who won the national volunteer of the year award for the organization he works for. The card evolved into a card, place cards with the Chicago skyline, a mailbox with the skyline and note cards for the other Board members to write notes of thanks to the award recipient, and a certificate. Everything turned out nicely and his Board loved them, but more importantly, he loved them! Here are some individual pictures…

Next up, a card I made for my cousin’s 30th birthday…

And here is the quick video…
And, lastly, I have a couple of additions to the baby shower items I made. I created a money holder, which I used as a holder for a certificate for a custom mini album I will make for the baby, and a gift card holder. Both are from the Word Gift Card and Money Holders Template Cutting File from The Cutting Cafe. I loved the way they turned out!

Today is Inspiration Day over at The Cutting Cafe! That means new projects will be featured on the blog from the design team later on today. I am excited to see all of the other designer’s projects! This week we were given the task of using the Feb. 14 Printable Stamp Set. I love all of the wonderful images in this file. But because I used to do puzzles a lot, I was drawn to the puzzle images and used this for my project. I also used one additional new file the Valentine’s Day Crossword Puzzle Printable Set and Colorbok paper and die cuts, K & Co. layered stickers, Spellbinders dies, and a Martha Stewart Punch. I also wrote the sentiment and inside middle copy. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit the blog for new inspiration!

WOW! The past few days have been crazy busy. I waited until the last minute to do cards and I did 50 of them in two days! That is the fastest I have ever made cards. Dimensional stickers and glitter tape were my friends this season. I was able to make some very quick cards with these two items. I wanted to share a few of the cards I made and the two videos I posted on YouTube. Thanks for visiting and you have a Merry Christmas!
My wonderful mother just celebrated a birthday. Here are pictures of the card I made for her and a video. I used K & Company’s Abrianna collection. The envelope is made by folding one 12 x 12 sheet of paper. I got the idea from NurseTara04 on YouTube and watched a tutorial by Christina Betts on YouTube showing how to fold the envelope. Thanks for visiting.
