Happy Mother’s Day! I thought I would post the card I made this year! Thanks for stopping by!
For my mother…
It is Inspiration Wednesday at The Cutting Cafe! One of my staff is having a baby soon and we are giving her a shower. I have been working on some favors and table decorations using several Cutting Cafe files. The files have made this task a breeze! I used:
Baby Boy Hershey Kiss Bottoms Printable Stamp Set
Baby Shower Thank Yous Printable Stamp Set
Baby Tic Tac Box Holder Template Cutting File
Everyday Stand Up Phrases Template Cutting File
Up in the Sky Wishes Printable Stamp Set
Here are the individual items…
Here are a couple of variations I have done…

Crafticakes7 on YouTube had a challenge giveaway for reaching 300 subscribers. She wanted to see what kind of masculine cards for any occasion that people come up with as it tends to be harder to do cards for males as you can’t use flowers, glitter, ribbons, bling, etc. So someone I work with has a birthday coming up, so I made this card for him and entered in into the challenge. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to watch my video below for the information on what was used.
And here’s the video…
My friend’s baby shower was yesterday and my mom needed a card. The shower colors were pink, black, and white, with zebra print. A couple weeks ago I posted my onesie card, which I used for a design team project, that I made for the shower. So this one had to be just as cute. I think it turned out great. Even though it is February and there is snow in my area, Spring is in the air at The Cutting Cafe! This week the design team was given a choice of Spring files to work with. Be sure to visit the Cafe Blog Wednesday afternoon to see all the wonderful design team projects.
Since I had not done a word shaped card before, I took the opportunity to try out the Sunshine Shaped Card Template file. It was easier than I thought.
I hand cut the word as well as the card background (easy to do without an electronic cutting machine). I used grey card stock for the the actual card and layered the word in paper from DCWV’s Lemon Flower stack. I used a chipboard sun and printed the sentiment out on my computer and punched it out with a circle punch. Then, I just added flowers, a ribbon bow, and flat back pearls and there you have it a lovely card. Thanks for stopping by and feel free to sign up to follow by email to the right of the screen!

It is Wednesday which means Inspiration Day at The Cutting Cafe!
This week we had an assortment of files to choose from which are listed below. Since my friend’s baby shower is coming up, I decided to use the onesie file. Of course both me, the godmother, and my friend love animal print. I had to add some on the card! Thanks for stopping by! My YouTube video is also below.

Here is my first exploding box! Take the top off and the sides fall to reveal the inside design and message. I decided to do this for the design team call for Sweet Nothings Stamp Company, which is a digital stamp company. The image I used is Love Letter Sophie and I colored her with both Copic and Spectrum Noir markers. I have her popped up on a part of a doily.
For the box I used the new valentine line of paper from My Mind’s Eye called Lucky in Love and I used roses and metallic stickers from Michael’s. I added white trim and flat back pearl trim from my stash, and hot pink glitter ribbon from Michael’s. I thought the color combination was great and I really love the way it turned out. Thanks so much for visiting. Please feel free to follow on the right side of the screen!
Here is the video response I did to the call on YouTube…
I am participating in a swap on YouTube that is hosted by Markisha who is Staplem1 on YouTube. There were two group choices. We could choose to do Parisian or Shabby Chic. It had to be an A2 sized card with at least three embellishments, a sentiment, and had to be finished both inside and outside.
The paper I used is a line called Sincerely from Trinity Paper Arts. Below are a couple other views and my YouTube video in which I show some other papers in the collection and give more information on the products used. It’s Inspiration Wednesday yet again (it does happen weekly you know) on The Cutting Cafe’s Blog! Be sure to stop by to see all the fabulous designs. This week’s theme was Valentine’s Day. We had a few files to choose from and I chose the Hershey Kiss Treat Box file. This was very easy to make.
You don’t need to have a cutting machine as all the files at the Cafe come in PDF format as well as multiple cutting formats. I printed the PDF on cardstock and patterned paper (for the lining) and hand cut the pieces. Once cut, all I had to do was glue it together and decorate. Simple and easy!
I love the white chocolate kisses and for Christmas they have peppermint chips in them and come in a red striped foil. For Valentine’s Day I think the swirl is raspberry. So, in the vein of the white chocolate kisses, here is my project. Thanks for stopping by!
Today is Inspiration Day over at The Cutting Cafe! That means new projects will be featured on the blog from the design team later on today. I am excited to see all of the other designer’s projects! This week we were given the task of using the Feb. 14 Printable Stamp Set. I love all of the wonderful images in this file. But because I used to do puzzles a lot, I was drawn to the puzzle images and used this for my project. I also used one additional new file the Valentine’s Day Crossword Puzzle Printable Set and Colorbok paper and die cuts, K & Co. layered stickers, Spellbinders dies, and a Martha Stewart Punch. I also wrote the sentiment and inside middle copy. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit the blog for new inspiration!
