This time for my design team project for The Cutting Cafe, we had to pick a shaped card and make it into a notepad. I chose the T-Shirt Shaped Card. I used my favorites, black and gold to make this fabulous note pad.
I added flat back pearls randomly on the front and added a fringe trim as well as some black and gold rhinestone trim.

I chose to use black paper on the inside which will require the use of a metallic marker.

The Cutting Cafe now offers custom word shaped card files! So if you have always wanted a name or phrase you could never find, now you can have a file made for you in a PDF or cutting file! Find the details here.
For out design team projects, we got to have a custom file made for us to use. I chose the phrase, You’ve Got This. I also requested a couple sentiments, Don’t Give Up, GIrlfriend, and With God…. You can have a few sentiments too. This time I am using the card as a goodbye and good luck type of card so I did not use any of my sentiments. I just added a few velum/bling flowers and added clear glitter marker to every one of those polkadots!

For this posting of the Design Team Projects for The Cutting Cafe, we focused on word shaped cards that pertain to Valentine’s Day. I chose to use the 14th Shaped Word Card, which can be versatile to be used not only for Valentine’s Day but for anniversaries, years, or a special date. I made two different ones. The first one features sentiments from the This Cake is All Heart, a printable stamp set from The Cutting Cafe.

For our design team posting this time for The Cutting Cafe, we could choose any file we wanted to use. I needed some little trinket holders for gifts so I used the Nugget Candy Box file. The original purpose is to hold four Hershey nuggets. But, I chose to use it for something else, thus showing the versatility of the files.
The file comes with three top options. The first is a with a heart cut out. You can leave it open or use acetate to make a window. I chose to line the inside with black cardstock and add a foam heart sticker.

The second is a rectangle cut out. Again, I lined the inside of the top with black cardstock.

The third is a plain top, which I decorated with the heart cutouts from the heart top.

It is the new year and everyone is trying to get organized. The Cutting Cafe can definitely help you with that! There are many planners and add ons that can help you plan and organize. See all the planner offerings here.
In the crafting world, many like to send surprise gifts/trinkets/crafty items to other crafters. This is known as a RAK (Random Act of Kindness). In 2018 I want to make and send more RAKs and I used the RAK Journal printable file to help me do it. This file includes a list of RAKS, RAK notes, and RAK ideas. I made my own folder to hold the printable sheets.

This week for The Cutting Cafe, the design team got to use any Christmas file we wanted to. I have been in craft fair mode so I chose this cute Christmas Tree Goodie Bag Holder. It can be used to hold candy, money, or crafty items like I have used. It makes a great craft fair item, teacher or coworker gift, or a stocking stuffer.

This week for our design team project for The Cutting Cafe, we were to use the Tissue Box Cover Template. I needed something elegant in white and gold to use in my office for Christmas as my decorations are white and gold. This fits the bill perfectly. I also used the Bow with Slit Template File to make the glitter bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Before you go, here is a short video showcasing my project…
First, one of my staff is turning 65. I needed a card large enough for everyone in my department to sign, so I made a scalloped card base that is 9″x7″. I added an embossed panel and holographic gold dot stickers, but wanted the focal point to be the Birthday Number Candles!
I kept the inside plain since many people will be signing it…

Next, I will be giving her a gift card so I wanted something separate for that. I kept the theme the same with the tone on tone white shimmer paper with gold. I used gold Dazzle stickers to add accents.

It is time for another design team project for The Cutting Cafe! This week we worked with shoe and boot files. I used the High Heel Shaped Card Template File to make this lux looking gold and cream card. I love this file and have used it a couple times before.
You can make it the shoe shape or do as I have done and just used the top layer to add to a card. Here is the inside…
