Hey everyone! I am here with a quick project for The Cutting Cafe. This post we are still doing Christmas in July. I chose the 3D Ornament file as it is a very quick but cute.
I am on vacation and cut the pieces out to take with me to put together. The set has circles and an ornament base. You fold the circles in half and glue together side by side. Use more circles for a fuller ornament.
When I return home, I will glitter the edges which will add a glittery touch. Tie a ribbon or hanger on the top and you are finished.

Guess what?! It is Christmas in July at The Cutting Cafe! Both design team posts this month will feature Christmas. This week we are taking any of the animal shaped cards and turning them into a Christmas theme. I chose to work with the Owl Shaped Card Set.

Hello All! This week for our design team project for The Cutting Cafe, we used the new Lip Balm Chapstick Holder Set. The file comes with a few variations – a box, and a single holder that you make a cover out of clear acetate or paper which you can give as is or add to a card or tag.
I think this one is so cute. I made the box which holds three lip balms. You can decorate for men, women, boys, and girls and they make great favors for showers, parties, friendship exchanges, teachers gifts, co-workers, grab bags, etc.
I added a shaker element to the window of my box but you can use acetate or velum instead. I just added some bling stickers and a sentiment from the file on both the front and back of the box.

These are all easy to make even if you don’t have an electronic cutting file as they do come in PDF form so you can print and then hand cut. This time for my design team project for The Cutting Cafe, we had to pick a shaped card and make it into a notepad. I chose the T-Shirt Shaped Card. I used my favorites, black and gold to make this fabulous note pad.
I added flat back pearls randomly on the front and added a fringe trim as well as some black and gold rhinestone trim.
Close up!
Trims close up.
I chose to use black paper on the inside which will require the use of a metallic marker.

The Cutting Cafe now offers custom word shaped card files! So if you have always wanted a name or phrase you could never find, now you can have a file made for you in a PDF or cutting file! Find the details here.
For out design team projects, we got to have a custom file made for us to use. I chose the phrase, You’ve Got This. I also requested a couple sentiments, Don’t Give Up, GIrlfriend, and With God…. You can have a few sentiments too. This time I am using the card as a goodbye and good luck type of card so I did not use any of my sentiments. I just added a few velum/bling flowers and added clear glitter marker to every one of those polkadots!

For this week at The Cutting Cafe, we used the new Animal Friends printable stamp set. It has a lot of cute images and sentiments. I chose to use the chick image. You can pick up this cute set later today when the design team posting goes live for only 99 cents, only through the design team post!!! Click here to see the post when it goes live this afternoon. Leave a comment and you will also be eligible to win three files on the next design team post on March 7th.
I printed it out on my laser printer which allowed me to then use my mini Minc machine to foil it with some holographic foil I have in my stash. I have a holographic paper pad, some holographic bling shapes, like the teardrops used here, and two sizes of holographic flowers. Holographic, holographic, holographic lol!
I printed and holographic foiled the image which is from the printable stamp set and added holographic flowers around it.
Cute holographic flowers!
For the inside, I just used a cut apart from the paper pad.

For this posting of the Design Team Projects for The Cutting Cafe, we focused on word shaped cards that pertain to Valentine’s Day. I chose to use the 14th Shaped Word Card, which can be versatile to be used not only for Valentine’s Day but for anniversaries, years, or a special date. I made two different ones. The first one features sentiments from the This Cake is All Heart, a printable stamp set from The Cutting Cafe.

For our design team posting this time for The Cutting Cafe, we could choose any file we wanted to use. I needed some little trinket holders for gifts so I used the Nugget Candy Box file. The original purpose is to hold four Hershey nuggets. But, I chose to use it for something else, thus showing the versatility of the files.
The file comes with three top options. The first is a with a heart cut out. You can leave it open or use acetate to make a window. I chose to line the inside with black cardstock and add a foam heart sticker.
Heart Cut Out Top Nugget Box
The second is a rectangle cut out. Again, I lined the inside of the top with black cardstock.

The third is a plain top, which I decorated with the heart cutouts from the heart top.

It is the new year and everyone is trying to get organized. The Cutting Cafe can definitely help you with that! There are many planners and add ons that can help you plan and organize. See all the planner offerings here.
In the crafting world, many like to send surprise gifts/trinkets/crafty items to other crafters. This is known as a RAK (Random Act of Kindness). In 2018 I want to make and send more RAKs and I used the RAK Journal printable file to help me do it. This file includes a list of RAKS, RAK notes, and RAK ideas. I made my own folder to hold the printable sheets.
